Aditya Ranade is a Hindustani Classical, Semi-Classical, Devotional Vocalist & Music Composer who has been pursuing these art forms for the last 16 years. Aditya was born and raised in the Bay Area and is currently based there.
Aditya began performing at the tender age of 5 years old, and in the past few years, he has performed at several locations across the United States such as Stanford University, San Francisco, 2015 BMM (Bruhan Maharashtra Mandal of North America) Convention Los Angeles, 2019 BMM Convention Dallas, Newark (Marathi Vishwa, NJ), Philadelphia (Philadelphia Marathi Mandal, PA), Atlanta (Maharashtra Mandal of Atlanta, GA), Los Angeles (Los Angeles Marathi Mandal, CA), Delaware (Delaware Marathi Mandal, DE), Portland (Kalakendra, OR), Bridgewater (New Jersey), and several more. Aditya released his first composition titled “सुनी सुनी वाटे” in 2021, recorded in the United States and India. He got the chance to work with esteemed musicians such as Milind Kulkarni, Prasad Joshi, Bharat Kamat, and Abhishek Borkar. It has garnered thousands of streams to date. Additionally, Aditya has a YouTube Channel where his videos on various Classical and Semi-Classical compositions have garnered a significant number of views and raving accolades from people worldwide. For his commitment and knowledge, Aditya was invited to be an upper-division seminar guest lecturer at Santa Clara University’s Music Department. He gave a guest lecture in “Music and Ecstasy” on the topic of the out-of-body experience of Hindustani Classical Music which was very well received by the faculty and students. He has been invited twice to share his thoughts in “Decolonizing Music Education”, speaking on the topic of evolution in the pedagogy of Hindustani Classical Music education. Aditya has participated in several competitions and won numerous prizes and accolades for his presentations. He also won BMM’s 2019 Scholarship Award for his commitment to the art and his contribution to the local Mandal. Aditya is currently taking advanced guidance from Dr. Pt. Rajaram Kale, a senior-most disciple of legendary vocalist, Pandit Jitendra Abhisheki, in the Agra, Gwalior, and Jaipur Gharanas. Along with being a vocalist, he has become proficient in the art of playing harmonium under the guidance of Shri. Vivek Datar, in the Gwalior tradition. Aditya strongly believes in giving back and expanding this art form. Hence, he has been mentoring and guiding young talent in the United States. To everyone's surprise, he speaks pure Puneri Marathi, and it is very evident in his music presentation. Aditya is a role model for many kids who are born in the USA and pursue Hindustani Art Forms. Outside of music, Aditya will begin working as a Cybersecurity Consultant this July in San Francisco, CA, as well as be pursuing his MBA part-time from the Leavey School of Business starting in the Fall. |
